Oreper, J., & Yuzwa, K. (2021). AccSus Project: UTSG Academic Success Service Evaluation
The goal of this 10-week project was to evaluate U of T St. George Campus Academic Success Services. More specifically, this project's main focus was to address the questions: (1) What can be done to best support students in navigating and transitioning between Accessibility Services and Academic Success? (2) What processes or resources can be put in place to facilitate smoother navigation between the two services? To answer these questions, 18 staff members of all levels of management in both Academic Success and Accessibility Services were engaged in either semi-structured interviews and/or a survey. In addition, 42 UTSG students provided feedback and shape the evaluation process and the recommendations by participating in a survey. Data was collected through interviews with staff and a staff survey, literature and organizational documents review, and a student survey. The data was consolidated into a SWOT analysis and Population Needs Analysis and presented to staff in mid-term and final presentations and within a final report.
